Product Description:

Celebrate the beauty of te ao Māori (the Māori world) with our handwoven Rāranga Kono – traditional four-cornered flax baskets, lovingly created using the art of raranga (weaving). Each kono is a unique expression of tikanga Māori, woven with intention, aroha (care), and deep connection to Papatūānuku (Earth Mother).

These kono are made using natural harakeke (NZ flax) fibres, sustainably gathered and woven following tikanga practices. Ideal for gifting, home décor, or as beautiful functional pieces for kai or taonga, these baskets can also be filled with Rongoā products to create bespoke wellness gift sets.

🪶 Perfect for:

  • Gift hampers with Rongoā balm, oil or mirimiri vouchers
  • Cultural décor and table settings
  • Corporate gifts with authentic Māori artisan value
  • Wānanga participants or guest koha (gifts)

🌿 Why you’ll love them:

  • 100% handmade in Aotearoa
  • Sustainable, biodegradable and natural
  • Each piece is unique – no two kono are ever the same
  • Supports Māori-owned wellness and creative businesses
