Mālō e lelei, Kia ora, my name is Ana Masiu.
I am a proud Tongan–European Kairongoā practitioner, based in Ōtautahi (Christchurch). I bring together the ancestral healing wisdom of Tangata Moana and Tangata Whenua, with a strong focus on whānau-centred wellbeing, traditional healing, and trauma-informed care.

As a mother of three tamariki who whakapapa Māori, I am deeply committed to intergenerational wellness, cultural reconnection, and empowering others on their healing journeys.

Qualifications & Experience

  • 3+ years’ experience as a Rongoā Māori practitioner in diverse community settings
  • Certificate in Rongoā Māori (Level 4)
  • Diploma in Whānau Ora
  • Currently completing Diploma in Rongoā Māori
  • Background in Psychology, supporting a trauma-informed approach
  • Founder and creator of Taku Aroha Creations – a handmade Rongoā-based skincare range
  • Facilitator of Rongoā workshops and healing classes
  • As part of my healing kaupapa, I founded Taku Aroha Creations, a natural skincare range inspired by the ngahere and grounded in the principles of Rongoā Māori.
